First of all, sorry for the ultra late reply. Been really busy with tech work, and I forgot to update the blog as much as I wanted too.

Since that is out of the way, let’s come to the main attraction of this post.

The weekend of rAge, a technology expo in Johannesburg South Africa, has finally passed. It was my first time there, and it was quite fun. Though that wasn’t the biggest highlight of the trip. I’ve finally entered the otaku’s dream paradise, and it is called AnimeWorx.

Once I get all those pictures sorted out, I’ll post them, but for now I want to show the new merchandise I got from the weekend. First off, a shot with my entire shelf, and then the rest of the merch.

In the manga section, got 7 new manga, and 16 new figurines, the Zoro figurine being my center piece.

Ah, this week has been slow, just like the title says. I haven’t been able to play much games, watch any anime or read manga, or do anything productive that doesn’t involve studies.

So pretty much, it’s been boring.

At least I got some gaming in, with my DS and PC.

Current PC title: YS 1 + 2 Complete

Also bought me a small Batman lead figure that they advertised the other day, the new collecting series that gives a DC Hero fig with every issue. Cost like R40, and quite decent, although there is some spots on it that needs more paint work.

Just a small update post, which I need to do more often.

Studies has been tiring, since I had to work on the group projects for at least 4 hours a day without a break inbetween. And without listening to any music, since I had to do it at tech.

My mind is swimming already.

As for anime, didn’t watch as much as I wanted. Watched a few episodes of a new series called Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, a small series about otakuism. Quite nice so far. And One Piece, of course.

Also busy playing and trying to get further in Touhou 11. I need to practice more.

Till another time, when I make a more a detailed and complete post.

A small update.

Got a Strike Witch fig just yesterday, and thought I’ll post a picture of it up on here. The camera I used unfortunately made a crappy photo, and I had to throw it into Photoshop to try and ’salvage’ it. Here it is.

Just a small update to this meager little blog.

For people who usually frequent my blog, you’ll see now that I changed the appearance of it. I was feeling bored at the time, so I thought I’ll play around with some themes and see what looked best, while still keeping the 3 column look that I enjoy. This theme also only put the most recent post on the front, so only the most new updated info will be on front.

Currently watching - Moetan

Mahou Shoujo anime with the teaching of English? Strange that’s for sure, but still too adorable. Although there aren’t that many of supposed English learning in the anime I’ve seen so far, it’s still as kawaii as any mahou shoujo is.

Currently playing – CSI Dark Motives for the DS

I’ve played this a long time ago on the PC when it came out, so I thought I try this game out for pure nostalgic reasons. It’s exactly the same as the PC version, with the voices removed. At the last case at the moment, so nearly done with that.

Currently listening to – Infinity by Hayashibara Megumi (Lost Universe Opening

Nah, not going to begin like that.

Well, we’re already past the midpoint of the year. That means at least a half year left before I’m hopefully done with studies and then have to start work. How fun that sounds *rolls eyes*.

On another note, I’m finally going to rAge, a expo that is situated in Johannasburg. It starts on the 3rd of October and goes on to the 5th. I’m looking forward to it, since I’ll be able to buy all those awesome anime goodies I really wanted. Thus, it goes to say I’ll have to save some more money so I can spend more.

Four episodes has been released so far, and it all have been what I’ve been expecting. Crazy antics as always, and not a moment of rest for Lina Inverse and the rest of her  group. Thus, quite likely making this one of my favourite anime this season. Can’t wait to see more of this as it gets released.

Chi’s Sweet Home

Several words can describe it, but I’ll use “Undescribably, Unbelievable Kawaii!” Even if it’s small 3 minute episodes, this series really show the life of a cute kitten called Chi. Recommended for small breaks inbetween anime, since its most of the time stand alone.

Asatte no Houkou

Watched a few episodes, and seems interesting. Short at 12 episodes, I’ll probably finish watching it soon.

Lost Universe

Created by the person who created Slayers, I decided to check it out and see if it’s interesting. And it does seem interesting so far. Nothing much to say until I watch more of it. So far the animation quality isn’t that amazing, but it is an old anime so I won’t fault it for that completely.

As for gaming, been playing random games more than anything else. For DS, Cooking Mama 2 is currently on my playing list. As is Final Fantasy IV, but I need to grind a bit more, gain a few levels before I go on with it.

On unrelated news, haven’t watched much anime recently, but have been playing DS games.

Finished Trauma Center 2 a while ago. Man, surgery can be difficult O_O. Also Rune Factory – A Fantasy Harverst Moon is quite fun to play, you seriously have too much to do in this game at times. Makes me anticipate the sequel coming out later this year, where you apperantly can play as your offspring after sometime. Talk about your long gameplay .

My opinion about it

A nice fluffy anime about the people living in the place Narutaki-Sou, showing their daily lives as they show the different relationships between all the characters. More funny moments than serious moments, but still a nice series none-the-less. The show was mostly episodic, but it didn’t detract so much from it.

All-in-all, an anime to watch if you enjoy your slice-of-life comedy anime.

Now currently watching: Shugo Chara!

Bought myself two volumes of this manga that got translated by Del Rey, so decided to start watching the anime. Have to say it’s extremely pink at times. But a fun mahou shoujo series so far  so far.

Well, I thought I should start writing a blog of anything that happens to me, or anything interesting that I find on the internet.

Well, currently watching an anime called  Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~. I call it a nice fluffy series.

Shiratori Ryuji wants to become a picture book writer, and he moves to an apartment, Narutaki-So, in order to go to an art school in Tokyo. Narutaki-so is an old Japanese style one-story house which doesn’t fit in urban scenery. It is owned by the cousin of his mother, and the manager of the apartment is Aoba Kozue. She is his second cousin, and they met with each other when they were children although he doesn’t remember her much. She is in the second grader of a high school attached to Aoba Junior Collage.

There are five people living in Narutaki-So. First, Chanohata Kotomi is living in the room #1. She is a best friend of Kozue. Then, the resident of the room #3 is Momono Megumi. She is a kind of person who goes her own way. In the room #5, Kurosaki Sayoko and her daughter Asami are living. Asami is in the first grade of a junior high. Finally, in the room #6, Haibara Yukio is living with his puppet, “Johnny”.

They are all characteristic and eccentric persons. However, in fact, the most eccentric person is Kozue. She has a secret; when she is shocked at something, she changes her personality. Not knowing this, Shiratori moves to Narutaki-So to realize his dream. What kind of a new life will be waiting for him?

Currently on episode 12 of 26, and quite enjoying it so far.
